Frequently asked questions

In order to find the perfect course, it is important to know your current language skill level. This will show you your strengths and weaknesses regarding your German skills and help you choose the right course. There is no point in taking a course which is too difficult for you because it requires skills that you haven’t acquired yet, or a course that is too easy and will be boring for you. Taking the level assessment will save you time and money!

The result of our online language level assessment is based on the European Framework of Reference for languages, from level A1 to C1. Our questions test your general comprehension of the language as well as your knowledge of grammar. As we don’t have the possibility to test your speaking and hearing skills, the result can differ slightly from your actual language level.

We offer two possibilities to take the test:

The online test offers immediate results and the possibility to decide when, where and how many tests you would like to take, for yourself. You can take it during a break at the office, or comfortably from home after work, without having to work around our office hours.

If you prefer our personal advice before choosing a course, send us a message and we’ll happily schedule an appointment for counselling and a level assessment. 😊

Our online test is corrected automatically. This way, human errors and subjectivity can be avoided. Most officially recognised exams are corrected by a computer in order to guarantee an objective result.

Nevertheless, we would be happy to have a personal conversation with you!

The assessments follow a multiple choice principle, which means it consists of multiple comprehension and grammar questions. For every question, there are either multiple options to choose from or the possibility to tick “richtig” (=true) or “falsch”(=false). Choose the correct answer and click “weiter” (=continue).

After finishing the test, you will get your result immediately.

If you have answered more than 70% of the questions correctly, you have passed the test for the indicated level. In this case, you should take the test for the next higher level. Continue to do so until your result stays below the 70% mark, then you have found your current language level. You can book the matching course right away. 😉

We offer multiple solutions:

  • You can book a course on this level, even though you have passed it.
  • You can book an individual lesson where we’ll work on your specific problems.
  • You can use our free learning-blog.

In any case, you can also contact us so that we can find the ideal solution for your personal needs.
